Introduction

Rhodes AGI LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Ask Rhodes application, Rhodes Focus application, and website (rhodesai.com). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across all our products.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username and password. Email is optional.

Conversation Data: We store your conversations with Rhodes to enable session history and continuity. Your Ask Rhodes conversations, including the responses you receive, may be used to train and improve Rhodes AI models. Conversations are processed by third-party AI providers (see Data Sharing). We never sell your conversation data or use it for advertising.

Usage Data: We collect basic analytics about app usage to improve our service.

Our mobile apps may request access to the following device features. All permissions are optional and requested only when needed:

Rhodes Focus App

Rhodes Focus is a self-control and website blocking app. Here is how it handles your data:

HealthKit & Health Data: Rhodes Focus reads workout data (workout type, duration, distance, calories) from Apple HealthKit to evaluate fitness-based blocking conditions. Workout data is transmitted to our server to log workouts and check status. This data is used solely to evaluate your blocking rules and is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or stored in iCloud.

Step Counting: Rhodes Focus uses CoreMotion to count daily steps for step-based blocking conditions. Step data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Location Data: Rhodes Focus uses location services for GPS run tracking and gym geofencing. Geofence data (gym name, coordinates, radius) is stored on our server. GPS route data during runs is processed on-device. You can revoke location access in Settings.

Device Information: We collect your device name and a vendor identifier to associate your device with your account for DNS filtering. A heartbeat signal is sent periodically containing device identifier, app version, and DNS status.

Speech & Microphone: The microphone and Apple Speech Recognition are used for voice chat with the AI Advisor. Audio is processed on-device by Apple's speech recognition. Only the transcribed text is sent to our chat API.

Blocking Rules: Your blocking rules are stored on our server to sync across features and are deleted when you delete your account.

AI Advisor Chat: Messages sent to the AI Advisor are processed by our AI infrastructure. Chat history is stored locally on your device.

Screen Analysis: The in-app browser may analyze on-screen content using Apple's Vision framework for feed detection. This occurs entirely on-device.

AI Processing: The AI Advisor feature sends your chat messages to Rhodes, an AI by Rhodes AGI LLC. Messages are processed to generate responses and execute blocking rule changes. We do not use your chat data to train AI models. Chat messages are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account from the Settings tab. This removes all your data from our servers.

How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Rhodes Focus data (browsing history, blocked apps, OCR results) is never sent to our servers or any third party.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communications are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS). Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain.

Data Retention

We retain your conversation history until you delete your account. Guest sessions are retained for 30 days. Local app data (Rhodes Focus settings, bookmarks, history) persists until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

Ask Rhodes and Rhodes Focus are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or website.

Subscriptions

Rhodes Focus Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the AI Advisor feature.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
